The design and cut of the Dotsume Award Jacket is based on the loose, rounded silhouette of award jackets from the mid-20th century, with a few contemporary tailoring cues to create a fresh take on an old classic. Dotsume is the Japanese name of the hefty, high density jersey knit fabric that is made from. Knit on a special loop wheel knitting machine, the 11.5 ounce material is created by applying maximum yarn tension allowing the fabric to have higher density, this results in a jacket that is resistant to shrinkage or distortion even after repeated wear and washing. At first touch, you won't even recognize it as jersey as it presents almost like a woven canvas but with a softer hand. The Dotsume Award Jacket is made to be worn for years to come.
